My essay was one of the five winners of the Mixed Migration Centre (MMC) Short Essay Competition 2024, which saw over 300 submissions from researchers based in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Essays submitted for this competition discussed a wide range of issues broadly categorized into i) migration in politics and politics in migration, ii) migration narratives, and iii) public perceptions on migration. This prize carried an award of USD 1,000 and winning essays were published in the Mixed Migration Review 2024 report. Download the report here.
